International Women’s Day in Wooler

Starting at 12.45pm there will be a range of free drop-in taster sessions including yoga, colour therapy, willow and felting crafts; a campaign café, bird and bat box making, a practical singing workshop and much more.

The evening starts at 7.00pm with a performance by the hugely popular women’s choir Werca’s Folk, directed by Sandra Kerr who will also be leading the singing workshop and will conclude with the premiere of a new short film by Alysoun Sharpe of Shadowcat Films, featuring the life of Victorian social reformer Josephine Butler (who is buried in nearby St. Gregory the Great Church churchyard in Kirknewton).

As places are limited for this event it is advised to book in advance. Bookings will open mid-February. For details on how to do this please keep checking this site for further details.
