DESCRIPTION:Would you like to build on your communication skills? Have you ever wondered how to support other women in your local community? Wondering how to stay in touch while we are socially distanced? \nHave you ever wanted to become a peer mentor? \nJoin the Women’s Workshop as we run an online accredited course that will teach you just that! Completing the course will give you a nationally recognised Level 2 Qualification in Peer Mentoring Skills \nYou will have a learning mentor to support you through the process and you’ll be teamed up with other participants to get practicing your skills. \nTopics that will be covered include: \n\nWhat it means to be a peer mentor and how to establish a peer mentoring relationship\nHow the role can benefit women in your community who are facing challenges or difficult times\nCommunication\, teamwork and listening skills\, recognising and valuing differences\nKeeping everyone safe by setting and maintaining boundaries\nNetworking skills including making and receiving referrals with partners\nKeeping records and working within the law\nReflecting on your own skills\n\nThere are no formal entry requirements.
