Willow sculpture / basketry taster on 13th May
Plenty of places left on the next willow weaving session with Peregrini, to be held on the 13th of May at the Crossman Hall, Holy Island.
Join local artist Anna Turnbull for either a morning or an afternoon session twisting and forming larger-than-life sculptures that will be positioned around the nature trail on Holy Island. The morning session runs from 09.30am to 12 noon and the afternoon session runs from 12.45pm to 3pm. Subjects include brent geese in flight and nesting swallows.
Or why not try the traditional skill of basketry? Alan Winlow from the Northumbria Basketry Group will be running a taster session where you can make a simple basket from scratch. Alan’s class runs from 09.30 to 3pm (with time for lunch!)
Tuition, materials and refreshments are provided.
