Summer Solstice Festival – Brilliant!
Summer Solstice is the longest day of the year and the beginning of a season filled with abundance. We had an action-packed free two-day programme to celebrate growth and positivity. It included the launch of the new Theatre Project and visit from Aslea the Workie Ticket Theatre facilitator, a fascinating workshop with Annie Lee all about solstice, which generated some wonderful instant art to design our very own sun goddess. Some of us were lucky enough to visit Roughting Linn, an ancient site steeped with atmosphere linked to the seasins and ancient people’s wisdom. On Tuesday we delighted to be joined by a group of women from the Angelou Centre, and we made hats and headdresses, and a sun dial in the graden, with shared lunch and a fire.
Looking forward to our next two-day seasonal festival in August….
