Women’s Network Survey

We have spent the last few months consulting with women’s groups, organisations and individual women about how best to set up and develop a new Women’s Network for Northumberland.

The key findings from our consultations have been:

– The Network should be open to both individuals and organisations

– There is general agreement that it will be useful to share information such as news, events, opportunities, briefings and campaigns etc on a regular basis.

– Its main focus is less on service delivery and more on working together to influence for change and tackle inequalities.

– There is interest in developing partnerships to improve services and opportunities. In particular it will be important not to duplicate the work of other networks eg around health and well-being, VAWG, poverty, but to make a pro-active contribution and invite them to participate in our planning group and events

A summary of the findings from the online survey can be read here –
